Lambert Armoire

Closets have made the armoire rare, yet there is always a room without one: a guest room, a study given over to sleeping, a bedroom in an old house that was never meant to have a closet at all. For those rooms, the armoire remains not a period piece but a practical necessity, and there is no reason it shouldn’t be beautiful.

The Lambert began as a folding screen — a room divided, a world contained. The armoire that followed shares its DNA: upholstered panels, inside and out, wrapped in fabric or leather, built to contain a chest of six drawers.

The case is solid and considered. Drawer pulls are stitched leather loops, modest and precise. Inside, a hanging bar is suspended by two leather belts — a detail borrowed from the trunk maker's vocabulary. The door interiors are lined in leather belting, a quiet finish that rewards the daily ritual of opening and closing.

Two standard configurations: drawers exposed or concealed behind the upholstered doors. Hardware, pulls, and paneling are available in leather, wood, or metal, specified to the project.

Available in twenty-six wood finishes. Upholstery options range from canvas to leather — Moore & Giles, Garrett Leather, or client's own material.
